A Year In the Hut
A year-long opportunity to cultivate and nourish a deeper, more radical, version of your erotic wellbeing.
For those who have completed our 4-month Immersion, we invite you to apply to join us for A Year in the Hut.
Because you’ve already taken this journey with us, you know that the power of the Verdant Collective 4-Month Immersion is sourced from the ecological wellbeing of the Women’s Hut—the physical, practical, communal practices through which we tend the ecosystem of The Hut, alongside our remembering of an ancient way of women being together, before women were taught to fear their own power and the power and wisdom of one another.
A Year in the Hut is an invitation to go further.
You know the foundational practices. You know the terrain. You know something about what happens when women gather in this particular way.
Now you get to discover what becomes possible when you stop learning the practices and begin to inhabit them.
When you walk into The Hut as a familiar, and stand in the circle of wise and well women, who of you unfurls into the space?
As you step forward in service to your sisters, what is the unique offering you bring? What is the ecological brilliance that you alone can contribute?
A Year in the Hut is designed to feed and grow you into a more vibrant, fierce, and brilliant version of yourself—one who is increasingly inhospitable to the forces that would diminish your ferocity, and increasingly available to the power, nourishment, erotic collaboration, and belonging available to you.
During A Year in the Hut, we will return to familiar terrain and deepen further into it:
Venturing more assuredly beyond the narrow frame of safety to chart the terrain of possibility.
Developing a more nuanced and skillful relationship with your nervous system, trusting and relying on its tremendous capacity for wellbeing and resilience.
Discovering new expressions of your Well Woman.
Experimenting with deeper dimensions of the Wheel of Consent, learning to take and allow within the particular container of The Hut.
Continuing to refine your pathways to, and capacity for, sensation and arousal, tending to these as essential technologies of your wellbeing.
Growing your capacity to access the non-ordinary states of consciousness available through arousal and peak experience, and harvesting the personal power and transpersonal wisdom contained within them.
Taking greater risks in Council, trusting that your voice and wisdom matter to the larger ecosystem of The Hut and to your sisters’ journeys.
Over our year together, we will venture into territory that asks more of you—and offers more in return:
Your place.
Taking your unique place within the ecosystem of The Hut, and beyond, as the Well Woman.
Values and self-responsibility.
Co-creating a container that forgoes prescribed “agreements” in service of the self-responsibility that emerges from our values—both universal and unique. Learning to name those values, claim them, and live into the commitments they require.
Cosmology.
Exploring the stories you received, and the stories emerging within you, about how The World came to be, how it works, and your unique and essential place within it.
Power.
Exploring what power is—and what it is not. Claiming and inhabiting your personal power as an act of responsibility and participation within The Hut and beyond.
Shadow.
Exploring—and befriending—the aspects of yourself and your power that have been unsafe to own in intimate relationships, workplaces, and family systems.
Conflict and repair.
Entering the often misunderstood and maligned terrain of conflict. Learning to spin rupture into the gold of generative conflict while practicing the skills required to weave genuine repair.
Ritual and ceremony.
Participating in and co-creating more ritualized and ceremonial expressions of our keystone Communal Erotic Practice.
Mentorship and reflection.
Receiving fine-point tracking and reflection from your sisters, alongside mentorship from faculty, in support of your current life goals and challenges. There is no time to waste here. The World is dying for your unfettered, unapologetic, radical gifts.
Soul and ecological niche.
Weaving the critical threads of soul and ecological niche into our practices, supporting one another to see and be seen through the essential lens of belonging. How are you uniquely designed and shaped to contribute to The World and its current state of death and rebirth?
Leadership.
Taking risks as you nurture the growing Leader in you. Bringing yourself more overtly into leadership—perhaps by guiding a practice, perhaps by stepping into circles, Councils, and other group processes more directly and honestly. Daring to be seen in ways that challenge the old narratives designed to keep you small and powerless.
This is an advanced-advanced program.
We often say that the 4-month Immersion is not a beginner’s program. Over the last few years, we’ve joked that A Year in the Hut is an advanced-advanced program.
And it is.
You are not coming to learn the basics. You are coming because you already know enough to participate in the deeper ecology of The Hut.
We expect that you:
Have cultivated a familiarity with the foundational Verdant Collective practices—Communal Erotic Practice, Council, and Tablework—including an understanding of why we do them.
Make choices from the terrain of possibility, rather than organizing primarily around safety, while in The Hut.
Recognize that this experience is not only for you. You are not joining us merely to get something or to be provided with an experience. You are coming to engage, participate, contribute, and co-create.
Have the capacity to stay connected to your Well Woman as you navigate increasingly challenging terrain, and to ask for help when you are struggling.
Have a resilient relationship with your yes, your no, and your learning zone.
Bring curiosity about who you are within a complex system that will reflect you back to yourself—and a willingness to stay in relationship even when those reflections are uncomfortable.
A Year in the Hut is not simply another year of the Immersion.
It is an invitation to find out what happens when you’ve grown beyond simply being a woman who is learning how to participate in The Hut, to become a woman who understands that she is an essential part of its ecology.
